Lab Equipment Selection/Procurement
Lab Equipment Selection/Procurement
The truth is, there is no “one stop shop” that can provide you with every single tool and piece of equipment you need to launch your processing lab. Most projects I facilitate require 4-6 vendors at minimum to piece together equipment and operational consumables.
This can be a daunting project that is often overlooked. Imagine trying to piece together multiple pieces of laboratory equipment from different vendors and expecting them to all work together flawlessly. It’s not uncommon for a single BOM on a hydrocarbon unit to contain 50+ components. It takes an extremely competent operator to understand the intricacy of these parts and how they work together with other pieces of extraction equipment through the processing chain.
A simple mistake during this initial investment phase of a processing business can create long term bottle necks and short comings that can be extremely difficult to overcome.
Let me take the guess work out of your equipment procurement process. Avoid overspending and dealing with those pesky sales people who have never even ran the equipment they are selling you. Let’s make sure each component in your equipment chain is sized appropriately the first time. Saving you money, and ultimately the most valuable resource, time.
